Masochist
By: kArLaLa

He slammed her to the floor,
Fists went flying around.
She curled up to a ball,
Taking them all without a sound.

She loved him, she thought.
Things weren't this way before.
Back when the beatings and screams,
Were smiles, laughs and more.

He told her damn lies,
And she believed them all.
She was stupidly in love,
Oh, the trap she was about to fall.

Then the contact was made,
It was a slap at first.
She thought he was just mad,
She didn't think any worse.

He backhanded her once,
Sent her flying across the room.
"He was just angry again,"
She had presumed.

A fist slammed into her jaw,
She was left with a bruise.
He loved how she was submissive,
He was always amused.

The beatings weakened her,
He couldn't care less.
She always cried for help,
Her life was a mess.

One night, he came,
With a baseball bat in hand, it was red.
She trembled in fear,
And screamed when it connected to her head.

The night was filled,
With the color of red.
The red bat was stained,
With the blood she bled.

Her face turned white,
She was close to death.
He was choking her neck,
Which closed up her breath.

His eyes were scary,
Oh, the desire to kill.
Then she opened her mouth,
With all of her will.

She finally closed her eyes,
And all her tears fell.
"I love you", she whispered,
It was the final spell.

End.
